We left the Hot Springs expecting to find a restaurant for breakfast in Minden or Gardnerville, but passed the only one on the main road, I didn't see it while driving and since the highway goes through the towns for miles, expected to find another one. Wrong! We drove to Topaz Lake before having breakfast, we were both famished by then!
We continued on Highway 395, its an easy drive, not that much traffic, and the only stop is our favorite hot springs, Keogh, south of Bishop. We did stop and skinny dip, there were a couple of men in the pool, and a couple stopped by and got in, they were not nude though. We talked with them for awhile, then decided we should get on the road, still planning on camping one last night before coming home. The further we drove, the more inclined we were to drive the distance to home, it seemed we were going by Big Pine where the campground we like is located, and it was too early to stop for the day. And, hot.
By the time we approached Ridgecrest we had decided to maybe stop in Victorville, but when we arrived there we had some dinner and since it is only a couple of hours to home, we got back on the road.
Arrived home about 9 PM, needless to say it was a long drive and we were tired, the van could wait until tomorrow to unload, we just brought what we needed in and dropped into bed.
