Idaho Trip, May-June, 2005

Pend Orielle Shores Resort 23 May 05 Monday

John and I stayed around the timeshare, went to the pool and spa, read, used the computer and just plain relaxed. Weather was nice but a bit cool.
The building we were in was being re-roofed, the noise level was terrible, especially in the late afternoon when they worked directly over the living room!
We played Upwords, read, had a nice dinner and thoroughly relaxed. John couldn't hear very well, water had gotten into his ears and softened the wax to where he was nearly deaf! No place close to us to buy ear drops!

Pend Orielle Shores Resort 24 May 05 Tuesday

John awoke this morning totally deaf, we stopped in Sandpoint to get an ear wax removal kit on our way to Coeur d'Alene to visit Katrina, she had taken a couple days off work while we were in Idaho.
Leaving the timeshare about 9 AM, we drove to C d A and found their house, which wasn't difficult. After a tour of the house, (they are remodeling it and doing a great job), we left for downtown and lunch with Ed, who took the afternoon off work. We ate a delicious meal in a brewery, then walked around Lake Coeur d'Alene on this wonderful boardwalk which takes you right out into the lake. It was built by the huge resort but is open to the public.
The clouds were threatening but it didn't rain on us, plenty of showers around the area though. We strolled around the downtown area, went through a huge antique store, Wiggets, where I bought Katrina and Ed a couple of wine plates and a rack to display them on.
We went back to their house and visited, had dinner and John and I left about 1830. When we got back to the timeshare, we had pie and ice cream before going to bed.
A nice visit with my niece and family.

Pend Orielle Shores Resort 25 & 26 May 05 Wed. & Thurs

Both days were spent lounging around the timeshare, soaking in the hot tub, enjoying the pool, reading, drinking latte's from the small shop and enjoying not having anything to do. Rarely are we so laid back!
